Thank you for 25 years of absolute enjoyment
of performing for you, your family and your friends. Kantner
Entertainemnt is now officially closed for buisness. We have chosen to
focus on another business that we operate that went to the wayside to
allow for the entertainment industry at the time. The DJ business is
very cut throat business these days and the performers that are out
there are not usually as professional as they represent themselves to
be. To ensure that you get great service with a dj that shares your
vision of "your perfect day" make sure that you do the following:
1. Interview
your dj company thorughly
2. Do not pay a deposit until you get in writing
who your dj will be.
3. Do not sign any contracts until you
meet with the dj. No meeting the dj - move on to another company. There
will be a company out theree that will appreciate your business enough
to introduce your dj to you and see that they are not a cheeseball.
4. Make the dj give you a copy of a proof
of their liability insurance before you sign the contract.
5. Ask to see the equipment that they
call there super sound package to make sure that it is not a lousy cheap
pair of home speakers taped to a tripod.
6. Ask them to see their lights if this
is a selling point for you or if you are paying a premium for them -
most of the time they are crappy lights that you see from Spencers at
the mall.
7. Make sure that the dj that will be
playing for your event has a music collection that is legit - why should
you care if they are burning music discs and showing up for your gig???
Because they may be in jail and not able to perform your gig that you
just paid them a deposit for, thats why. :)
8. Ask to see the tuxedo that the dj will
be wearing for your wedding reception or prom. 9 times out of 10 they
will not have a tux or even a suite for that matter and if they do, you
want to make sure that it doesn't have the pretty ruffles on it from the
70's...................
9. Last but not least - do not ever book
a dj that says I am the best dj in berks county, my guys are good but I
am the best......most likely they are full of sh!t.
Good luck and God Bless!!
